Exciting News + a little Chat

It's been a while, I KNOW! lol But for a good reason, I have been super busy with starting a business. Doing something I've always loved to do and thought about time and time again. So, I decided to just do it ! I am opening up a creative design lab (online for now) that focuses on brand development and design.

When I was in school I always loved branding and that was my favorite part of every project. Even now on my free time I sit and think up fictitious businesses and brands just to design a really pretty and impactful look and feel. Planning to be doing it for real businesses and entrepreneurs who need it this upcoming year. I've spent the last couple of months preparing and teaching myself the basics of on starting a business. Also with so many online resources and self taught entrepreneurs to talk to I've already learned quite a lot.

I decided that I wanted to use my degree in another way, I was tired of waking up every morning and going through the motions I want to be constantly creating and working and collaborating with others so that's what I am going to do! I am encouraging you all out there to go for it! Do what you love and do what makes you happy! There's no better day than today to live your dreams. Like, there are so many people who didn't know exactly what they were doing when they started but they figured it out, they invested in themselves and they are so successful! Take the risk try and give it a shot you never know what might happen. 

On another note I am deciding what I want to do with the Fashion Entity blog and if I want to merge it or create a whole new blog tied in with my new business brand. What do you all think it would be nice to hear from you all on this?

I cannot tell you all how excited I am about this collection! So excited that I took the day off from work months ago when the collection was announced! They have finally released the photos for the line and let me tell you there are some things I will be buying from the Men's line as well as the women's.

 The collaboration still carries the rich colors and textures that are seen on the Balmain runway collections and mixed with an edgy military vibe.

The Wedding Series!

As many of you may know I am married and have been for two years now. At year five my husband and I will finally be having our wedding ( which will be a renewal of our vows) ! I will be documenting the journey along the way since it is something that I have already started planning and preparing for and it is one of the most fun times that will allow me to combine everything I love from fashion, design, decor and traveling!

The Troubled Creative

I know I am not the only person who categorizes themselves as "creative minded".  Being a creative person is such a great thing but sometimes it can be the exact opposite! Right now I am at the point in my life where my creativity is running wild yet I am in a creative comatose state and cannot act out my creativity and ideas for some reason. If you are feeling this way (YOU ARE NOT ALONE LOL!) I have so many talents and great ideas but just before I get to the action 'to do' phase, I get stuck. I cannot seem to make that move or leap of faith to the next step.

From this moment forward I am going to continue to exercise my creativity daily by working on projects and adding to my portfolio.

If you can relate how are you going to push through your creative comatose stage or how did you if you've been through this in the past?

Two Years of Marriage

My anniversary is this weekend and I cannot believe I have been someones wife for two years already! I love sharing my young love story in hopes of motivating and inspiring others. Not just  love but unconditional love is something that everyone should experience. I truly believe that there is someone for everyone and that someone will show up when the time is right in your life. 

I wasn't in any rush to get married however there were somethings that I did want to have in place. Something I heard a lot was "why can't you wait?" My answer was I can wait but I simply don't want to. I know what I want and why wait if I am sure. I also just happened to be blessed enough to find someone who felt the exact same way. 

Being married is the best! It's like having a permanent live in best friend.  We share the same values, morals, and goals which makes things that much easier. Of course we have our disagreements but the thing I love most is how short the disagreements and arguments last. 

My husband has been such a great friend first and then husband. He's so understanding and he has taught me so much. I think it is very important to be with someone that can teach you things and motivate you to be the best you that you can be. Its great to be with someone you can have endless and great conversation with about any and everything. Its been such a great experience and I am looking forward to our future together we have so many things in store and I am just so excited every time I think about my future with my husband.

While in SD I got my husband out of his super casual style comfort zone and he clearly enjoyed it a little much and went into model mode! lol

It's been a while and so many things have been going on. I am another year older, I've been working like crazy and I recently went on vacation to get away. My husband and I went to San Diego on an expense paid vacation for his job. Although he had to do a little bit of work it was very relaxing and we had some time to enjoy the city. We were in the Mission Bay area and we stayed at they Hyatt Regency Mission Bay Spa and Marina where we enjoyed our first couples massage. We also drove to the nearby shopping areas and went to eat at a popular seafood restaurant and had a movie date. However, we did not get to visit the beach or the boardwalk. But we won $50 bucks, had free drinks and had lots of fun !

 

Mini Haul & Update| Forever 21

Hi everyone! There has been so much going on in my life for the past couple of months that's why I haven't posted in a while. I've been promoted at my job (if you follow me on IG you may know already). Its just been a fast paced whirlwind and a lot of ups and downs. It happens to be one of the only days my husband and I share off so we usually spend some quality time and not to mention the weather has been perfect lately!  Happy Friday everyone!!! I hope everyone is rejoicing just as much as I am for it to be the weekend! 

I finally got my hands on some Milani statement lipsticks. Some of you may have heard a lot about them and I wanted to see what all the hype was about. So, I went to my local CVS which was the only place in my area that had a few left!  Everything was sooooo picked over. I wanted to try some other colors but these were two colors (Double Espresso and Sweet Nectar) of lipstick that I didn't have but have been searching for and that weren't sold out.

The Change

Long time no blogging! Well we're Back!

It feels so good to be back. Hope all is well with everyone! I have been plotting a come back for sometime but the timing was just never right. But today on March 1st 2015, I want to say welcome to the new blog The Fashion Entity! New url, new look and I hope you all love it! There will be a new post every Monday and Friday and a little more in between. I am also working on another project with another fashion website where you all can find me posting there on Wednesdays ( More details to follow so stay tuned!)
