The New Classic

Every girl needs a classic heel...one that is timeless.

This past Christmas my husband surprised me with my first pair of Christian Louboutins. If you follow me on IG, you know he kind of tricked me and saved them for the very last gift. I mean we opened all the gifts and then hours later he gave me the box. Needless to say, they were worth the waiting.

 (find them here)

My husband knows me pretty well when it comes to certain fashions. He chose the black patent Bianca with a 120 mm heel. You can never go wrong with black and he knows I love my heels, and just shoes in general, but if I get uncomfortable I will kick them off lol! So, he got me the 120mm heel not too high and not too low of course. I know the pointed toe heels (Pigalles and So Kates) are taking over but I think a rounded toe is still a great classic. A pair that goes with everything or any occasion. So, this is my go to heel.

On protecting my red sole....

I watched a million and one reviews on the shoes, how they fit, how to clean them and how to store them. ( If your going to invest in a pair of Loubs I think you should treat them right so they last.)

Instead of trusting a stranger with the resoling of my shoes (which I've heard horrible things about) or anything else I took the most affordable route to protect my sole (that I found via YouTube). I used the Shield iPad screen protectors and placed them on the bottom of the shoe that comes in contact with the ground. They do work well but eventually they will wear down but it does delay the scuffing of the red paint and I'm okay with that!

If you're planning to invest in your first pair I'd have to say YouTube is always a big help. Or just reaching out to others that you know have purchased where you plan to purchase (online or from a certain store.) And of course there are always other great heels to invest in. If you don't want to spend as much as a Louboutin price, there are always other heels out there that will serve their purpose at a lower price. Just make sure you're paying for the quality ( good materials) that will last you a good while.

I am in no way a shoe specialist or expert on this brand but feel free to leave any questions or comments below.
